First lady Melania Trump will spend Mother’s Day with her son Barron and the rest of her family after a busy week during which her husband, President Donald Trump, triumphantly secured the release of three American hostages from North Korea.
“The First Lady will spend the day with her family,” Melania’s rep Stephanie Grisham told the Daily Caller.
Mrs. Trump celebrated moms everywhere, saying every day should be Mother’s Day. “I don’t know about all of you, but I think mothers should be celebrated each and every day,” she said earlier this week.
“As a mother myself, I know what goes into raising a child. It takes an incredible amount of strength, a lot of time, a generous amount of patience, and all of your love. As moms, we are so incredibly privileged to be able to bring children into this world and be a part of helping them grow into adults.”
For all her glamour and mystique, Melania has repeatedly stressed that her top priority is being a good mom to her only child, 12-year-old Barron.
While the mainstream media continues its obsessive Trump-bashing and exultation of a fallen porn star, Mrs. Trump’s popularity has soared, as BizPac Review has reported.
Melania’s approval ratings surged to 57 percent in May, up 10 points from January, according to a new CNN poll. Interestingly, her popularity among Democrats has rocketed 15 points since January, while her support among women climbed 13 percent, to 54 percent.
President Trump could not be prouder of his wife for her grace under pressure. “She has become a very, very popular first lady,” Trump gushed. “I’m seeing all those stories and they love Melania. Thank you.”
With her impeccable style and supermodel looks, Mrs. Trump has quietly emerged as something of a pop culture icon. In fact, “Melania” has become a popular girl’s name, jumping 720 spots on the list of the most popular girls’ names in the United States.
The name “Melania” scored fifth among the fastest-growing girls’ names in 2017, up 720 slots from 1,650 in 2016, according to a new ranking by the Social Security Administration.
While her detractors have tried to dismiss Mrs. Trump as a dizzy former model, those who know her say she’s well-read and smart as a whip, as evidenced by the fact that she speaks five languages.
French is one of five or six languages Melania speaks. Trump, who was born in Slovenia, also reportedly speaks Italian, German, Serbo-Croatian, and of course, English. The only other American first lady who had similarly impressive language skills was Jacqueline Kennedy, who spoke French and Spanish and was proficient in Italian.
