Trump-hating liberal Rosie O’Donnell made illegal campaign contributions to at least five Democratic political candidates running for federal office, in violation of federal campaign laws limiting donations to $2,700 per election.
While O’Donnell claimed she didn’t over-donate on purpose, a New York Post investigation suggests otherwise. Rosie used five different addresses with four different variations of her name to contribute to Democratic politicians using the online liberal fundraising platform ActBlue.

“Nothing nefarious,” O’Donnell told the New York Post via email. “I was not choosing to over-donate. If 2700 is the cut off — [candidates] should refund the money. I don’t look to see who I can donate most to. I just donate assuming they do not accept what is over the limit.” Um, riiiiight. That’s why she used five different addresses and four different versions of her name.
Rosie, who has an acute case of Trump Derangement Syndrome, predictably attributed her heightened political involvement to her hatred of President Trump. “My anxiety is quelled by donating to those opposing Trump [and] his agenda,” she explained.
These are the five Democratic candidates O’Donnell over-donated to:
- Alabama Senator Doug Jones received $4,700 from Rosie.
- Pennsylvania Congressman Conor Lamb got $3,600
- California Congressman Adam Schiff got $2,950 from O’Donnell.
- Lauren Underwood, an Illinois congressional candidate, received $4,200.
- Omar Vaid, a congressional candidate in Staten Island and Brooklyn, reported $3,450 in primary donations.

According to federal election filings, O’Donnell contributed more $90,000 during the 2017-2018 election cycle to 50 different federal candidates and committees. She also donated to local politicians, including leftist New York City Mayor Bill de Blasio.
As BizPac Review previously reported, de Blasio famously kicked homeless people off the subways so he could have a “clean” PR photo for his mayoral re-election bid (which he won in November 2017). These are the kinds of politicians O’Donnell supports.

Under Federal Election Commission (FEC) rules, both donors and candidates are liable for political contributions that exceed the legal limit, but these types of violations are rarely prosecuted. If someone repeatedly breaks campaign finance laws, they are usually fined. The contribution limits are in place to prevent wealthy people from “buying” politicians.
While Rosie O’Donnell shelling out sweaty wads of cash to her favorite liberal politicians is hardly earth-shattering news, keep in mind that she has repeatedly accused President Trump of treason and other federal crimes. That’s ironic since she’s the one who’s in violation of federal law. If Rosie had been a Trump aide who broke federal laws, special counsel Robert Mueller would already have ordered a pre-dawn raid on all five of her homes.
Meanwhile, Trump-haters like O’Donnell and the mainstream media can’t stop obsessing over porn star Stormy Daniels and her alleged one-night stand with Donald Trump 12 years ago, when he was a private citizen. Wow—stop the presses. Meanwhile, here’s what happened last month:
