A graduating Tennessee college student is making no apologies for her love of the Second Amendment and she isn’t afraid to show it.
In a Twitter post, Brenna Spencer posed with her concealed firearm that she says is an empowering tool, for women especially. “I don’t take normal graduation photos…” Spencer wrote in her now viral tweet.

There’s no doubt Spencer, a 22-year-old senior at University of Tennessee, Chattanooga, knew she’d be triggering liberals in a major way as she proudly showed off her gun while wearing a “Women for Trump” shirt, but she said she was surprised by the amount of backlash.
“I did think that it would get a little attention but not to this degree,” Spencer told ABC News. “It was really, really surprising to see the amount of hate that I got.”
Naturally, the backlash flowed freely and fiercely from liberals, with some immediately tattling when they noticed Spencer was on Museum grounds that has a “no gun” policy.
You hope your sons find a criminal to spend forever with? And a dumb criminal at that? This is a picture of her blatantly breaking the law. Concealed carry is illegal on those museum grounds. You’re providing photo evidence against yourself….this is so dumb it hurts.

@ChattanoogaPD would you like to give us your two cents? Per the thread, this young female is taking a photo w/ a firearm, in an area w/ a posted “no-weapons” policy. This showboating behavior is irresponsible, reckless, & potentially dangerous.

Most surprisingly, there were some who claimed to support the right to conceal carry but found reasons for criticizing Spencer for taking a stand.
I’m 100% pro gun but brandishing a firearm for a photo shoot or showing it off to try and look cool is just stupid. They are tools. Why brag about carrying a gun?

There were even critics who thought she was improperly carrying her firearm.
I do! I have a belly band on it’s just not seen in the photo!

Spencer told ABC that for the most part, she’s not reading the ugly or critical comments in her Twitter feed, but when she does, she’s not afraid to push back:
Because I’m proud of my second amendment right and I want to empower other women! Absolutely they are tools but I will always brag about being able to carry a gun to protect myself, my friends and my family!
— Brenna Spencer (@BrennaSpencer) April 8, 2018
You should look up the definition of brandishing

Spencer, who is graduating in May with a major in communications and a minor in political science, told ABC that she is very aware of the local gun codes.
“I carry everywhere that I’m allowed to carry,” she said, which excludes her college campus. Spencer told ABC the photo was simply meant to “show who I am as a person.”
Meanwhile, Charlie Kirk with Turning Point USA, gave Spencer a big thumbs-up for her stand and said “this is what REAL feminism looks like.”
This is what REAL feminism looks like. Strong, smart, confident, and armed
Well done Brenna. You are what @TPUSA is all about
Keep fighting https://t.co/1gQIdEsW4C

As the photo spread, Spencer shared that she’s been receiving wide-spread support as well, and is grateful for it:
Hard to believe but I’m getting so many sweet DMs from you guys and I’m trying to respond to all of them because I appreciate the kind words but if you don’t get a response from me thank you so much!!

She also made it known that her eyes are wide open to the myth of liberal “tolerance.” Especially now:
