Matt Lauer puts posh pad where he learned he was fired from Today on the market

You can now buy Matt Lauer’s luxurious New York City pad for a whopping $7.35 million, according to real estate company Stribling’s listing Tuesday.

Lauer, the former NBC “Today” host who was fired for sexual misconduct in November, is selling his lofty New York City place for $7.35 million, the Wall Street Journal reported.

Lauer’s pad is in the ritzy Upper East Side Lennox Hill neighborhood just three blocks away from Central Park, Stribling reported. The pre-war apartment also has 11 rooms, four bedrooms, and 4.5 bathrooms. The former “Today” host bought the apartment in 2004 for $5.882 million.

“A private elevator landing leads into a charming, square entry foyer which opens to an enfilade of living room, dining room and corner library. The rectangular living room has three large windows on its longer side, high ceilings, custom book shelves, a beautiful parquet hardwood floor and a wood burning fireplace. The library, with an adjacent powder room – incredibly chic with midnight blue hand rubbed venetian plaster walls – has both, southern and eastern exposures of tree-tops and a long view downtown,” the listing reads.

This apartment was also where Lauer received the news from NBC and MSNBC’s chairman Andy Lack that he was fired for sexual misconduct allegations, Page Six reported. The allegations varied from sexual harassment to allegedly having a button under his desk to lock his office door in order to sexually assault women in private.

Lauer is also trying to sell his 25 acre Hampton’s home. The luxurious home was previously listed for $18 million, however, the price was later lowered to $12.75 million.

The listing also suggests that the apartment’s large laundry or playroom can be used as a staff room.
