The actress tweeted a link to a story on Friday that explained why the president should thank her, adding her comment, “The writer is so gracious to me, but I do like the President.”

She followed up with another comment on the tweet praising Trump for accomplishments in combating human trafficking.

“President Trump has freed so many children held in bondage to pimps all over this world. Hundreds each month,” the actress tweeted. “He has broken up trafficking rings in high places everywhere. notice that. I disagree on some things, but give him benefit of doubt-4 now.

Trump called the actress to congratulate her following the impressive reboot of her sitcom, “Roseanne,” which returned to TV on March 27, following a two-decade hiatus. Barr’s television character is a Trump supporter.

As her tweets continued, Barr noted she originally thought Trump was a “populist” and had a videotape interviewing him and director Michael Moore on her former talk show.

Barr’s tweets on Friday followed a White House proclamation declaring April “National Sexual Assault Awareness and Prevention Month.”

The administration announced “we remain steadfast in our efforts to stop crimes of sexual violence, provide care for victims, enforce the law, prosecute offenders, and raise awareness about the many forms of sexual assault. We must continue our work to eliminate sexual assault from our society and promote safe relationships, homes, and communities.”

Barr appeared to walk back her comments later, even after retweeting several examples of Trump’s accomplishments.

Some saw her tweets as being peculiar and some even referred back to Barr’s comments in November when she confused her Twitter audience after tweeting about the conspiracy theory “QAnon,”  or “Q,” a user on the anonymous message board 4chan who claims to have inside knowledge of the White House and alleges Satanism and sex-trafficking by Trump’s opponents.

“Tell Qanon to DM me in the next 24 hours,” Barr had tweeted.

Barr’s tweets on Friday set off another series of questions about the conspiracy theory.

Barr tweeted later Friday saying she would no longer share opinions on Twitter because “it invites bullying.”

Her fans, however, rose to her defense and encouraged the actress to keep speaking up.
