Lindsey Graham warns Kim Jong Un he’d better not ‘play’ Trump: ‘It will be the end of you’

Anticipating the first face-to-face meeting between President Donald Trump and Kim Jong Un, Sen. Lindsey Graham had a word of warning for the North Korean dictator.

The South Carolina Republican reacted to Thursday’s announcement that the president had accepted the North Korean leader’s invitation to meet.

“The worst possible thing you can do is meet with President Trump in person and try to play him. If you do that, it will be the end of you — and your regime,” Graham said in a statement.

The senator added that Trump’s “strong stand” on the nation and the leader he has repeatedly called “Little Rocket Man,” is the “best hope in decades” for a peaceful resolution to tense relations between the two nations.

Citing past history, Graham acknowledged that North Korea may once again be “all talk and no action” but believes the rogue nation understands that Trump means business, and “will use military force if he has to.”

Trump tweeted following the announcement at the White House, noting that Kim Jong Un had “talked about denuclearization” with South Korean officials.

Sen. Marco Rubio cautioned that the North Korean dictator may be “luring” the United States into negotiations where he will make demands the U.S. will not agree to.

The Florida Republican said on Fox News’ “America’s Newsroom” on Friday that he does not believe Kim will agree to give up his nuclear weapons program.

“Time will tell. I hope I’m wrong. We all want peace … but we shall see,” Rubio said.
