RNC predicts very bad news for Hollywood’s upcoming Oscar night – and for good reason

The RNC thinks it has its finger on the pulse of America’s tolerance for self-riotous celebrities, and is predicting another bad year for Oscar night.

As Hollywood celebs fawn over themselves in anticipation for yet another awards ceremony, Republican National Committee spokesman Steve Guest told Variety they’ll likely be speaking into an echo chamber — because hardly anyone will be watching.

“If last year’s dismal ratings didn’t make it clear, Americans aren’t interested in Hollywood liberals blabbing about politics to a room full of Hollywood liberals,” Guest told Variety. “They’re busy taking their ‘crumbs’ to the bank after Republicans delivered on tax cuts.”

Jimmy Kimmel is not at all averse to crying on his show over Trump and the Republican led Congress.

And no doubt, a lot of political “blabbing” there will be as notorious anti-Trumper Jimmy Kimmel will be hosting this year’s Oscars. Kimmel has turned his late-night show into a venting/therapy session to release his deep disdain for the President, something his Hollywood cohorts admire.

Actresses lined the red carpet at the recent Golden Globes ceremony donned in black to protest sexual harassment – something that would be admirable if so many of the Hollywood elites weren’t in on the coverup – but the organized protest didn’t help the night’s ratings.

Despite a highly touted lecture from Oprah and a plethora of fawning press, the 2017 Golden Globes saw a 5 percent audience drop. Even worse, the night suffered a “painful 11 percent decline in its key demo,” according to the Hollywood Reporter.

The 2017 Oscars, hosted by Kimmel, also took a hit with an overall drop of 4 percent, but saw a “dramatic 14 percent” drop in the key 18 – 49 year-old-demo from 2016, H.R. reported.

Now that some of President Trump’s policies have been implemented many Americans are feeling the rewards of tax cuts, slashed regulations, and dangerous foreign gang members being taken off our streets.

If Americans weren’t in the mood for Hollywood’s liberal political lectures last year, why would they have a hunger for it now?

This brutal meme circulated the internet after Oprah lectured Americans about “brutally powerful men” at the Golden Globes in 2017.

In contrast, President Trump received great ratings for his January SOTU address where he unapologetically reiterated his America First agenda.

Trump bravely took on the NFL’s unwillingness to stand up to players who refuse to stand for the national anthem – an executive decision that has hit NFL ratings where it hurts.

The RNC is predicting that this year’s Oscars will be no different in that regard.

George Mason University professor George Lichter also acts as director of the Center for Media and Public Affairs and sees it differently.

“This is a ’cause solidarity,’” Lichter told the Reporter. “Solidarity against Trump. Solidarity about gun violence. …I will be surprised if, one way or the other, there are not a lot of expressions of political unity.”

Political unity among the rich, famous and hypocritical elite.
