High school students protest gun violence by beating up cops and smashing windows at anti-gun rally

At least five high school students were arrested Friday for assaulting police and smashing car windows while protesting gun violence at a rally in Stockton, California.

Hundreds of students from five high schools in Stockton walked out of class on February 23 to protest gun violence in the wake of the Valentine’s Day mass shooting at a high school in Parkland, Florida.

Authorities told KCRA-TV that instead of protesting peacefully, hordes of unhinged teens threw rocks at police and civilian vehicles, battered at least one officer, and vandalized cars.

The five students who were arrested for battery, vandalism, and resisting arrest ranged in age from 14 to 18. Local police condemned the violence and vandalism in a statement:

“We do support the freedom to protest peacefully and freedom of speech. While the majority of the students were peaceful today, we don’t condone the violence which was committed by a small handful of students. It’s unacceptable to batter a police officer and especially to take an officer’s baton.”

Officials with the Stockton School District apologized after the protest by releasing this statement:

“We regret that on Friday some students from one of the high schools left a peaceful protest, walked off campus, and created a disruption in the neighborhood. Such activity is not reflective of the values of the overwhelming majority of SUSD students and will not be tolerated.”

This incident is the latest example of the violence and anti-police sentiment the mainstream media have been stoking with their inflammatory anti-Second Amendment rhetoric masquerading as news coverage.

The liberal media have crowned 17-year-old high school student David Hogg as the face of the anti-Second Amendment issue due to his eagerness to condemn guns and the National Rifle Association to anyone who’ll listen.

It’s unclear if young David would have rallied against guns when his father, former FBI agent Kevin Hogg, worked at the FBI. Kevin Hogg retired from the FBI in 2016.

For now, David has urged tourists to boycott Florida until guns are outlawed in his home state. He also called for a boycott of the NRA, even though Parkland high school shooter Nikolas Cruz was not a member of the NRA. Nor were any of the other mass shooters in U.S. history.

U.S. Attorney General Jeff Sessions has launched an investigation to find out why the FBI ignored multiple credible tips alerting them that Nikolas Cruz was homicidal and had repeatedly threatened to shoot up his school.
