“The memo was a nothing.” That was President Trump’s reaction to the “rebuttal memo” released by Democrats on the House Intelligence Committee.
Trump echoed the sentiments of many legal experts when he said Adam Schiff’s 10-page memo failed to rebut any of the key points made by the Republican memo.

“The memo was a nothing!” President Trump told Judge Jeanine. “It was nothing but a confirmation [of the GOP memo].”
Trump double-downed on tweets he had sent three hours earlier, when wrote: “The Democrat memo response on government surveillance abuses is a total political and legal BUST. Just confirms all of the terrible things that were done.”
The president also pointed out that the Democratic memo confirmed the GOP contention that the FBI never disclosed to the FISA Court judge that Hillary Clinton and the DNC had paid millions for the discredited Trump dossier.
The unverified dossier, which made salacious, tabloid-gossip claims, was the basis to obtain bogus warrants to illegally spy on former Trump campaign aides like Carter Page. Page is now suing the federal government (i.e., the Obama-run FBI and DOJ), Yahoo, and the Huffington Post for defamation stemming from the illegal surveillance.
Trump also slammed California Congressman Adam Schiff — the ranking Democrat on the House Intelligence Committee — for repeatedly leaking confidential info to the mainstream media to push the Russia-collusion hoax.
“All you do is see Adam Schiff: He has a meeting, he leaves the meeting, and calls up reporters,” Trump told Judge Jeanine. “Then all of a sudden, they have news. You are not supposed to do that. It’s probably illegal to do it. He’ll have a committee meeting and leak all sorts of information. He’s a bad guy.”
Trump repeated what he has said for the past two years: That the Obama FBI, CIA, and the Department of Justice were politically weaponized to illegally spy on Trump campaign aides to rig the election for Hillary Clinton.
“A lot of bad things happened on the other side — not on this side, but the other side,” Trump said. “What they did is really fraudulent and somebody should be looking into that.”
White House press secretary Sarah Sanders also released a scathing statement blasting the Democratic memo as a total failure:
“This politically driven document fails to answer serious concerns raised by the Majority’s memorandum about the use of partisan opposition research from one candidate, loaded with uncorroborated allegations, as a basis to ask a court to approve surveillance of a former associate of another candidate, at the height of a presidential campaign.
As the Majority’s memorandum stated, the FISA judge was never informed that Hillary Clinton and the DNC funded the dossier that was a basis for the Department of Justice’s FISA application. In addition, the Minority’s memo fails to even address the fact that the Deputy FBI Director told the Committee that had it not been for the dossier, no surveillance order would have been sought.”
Meanwhile, after 18 months of expensive, taxpayer-funded investigations, special counsel Robert Mueller has produced no evidence of collusion between the Trump campaign and Russia.

For the record, Robert Mueller was FBI director during the 2007 Virginia Tech shooting and the 2012 Sandy Hook shooting. Could those massacres of young people have been prevented? Or did the FBI drop the ball again?
