A father who lost his daughter in last week’s Florida school shooting gave a heartbreaking and emotional speech at the White House, telling President Trump and others he is “not going to rest” until something is done.
“All these school shootings, it doesn’t make sense. Fix it,” Andrew Pollack said to a hushed room full of listeners at the White House Wednesday, speaking one week after the massacre in Parkland that took the lives of 17 people at Stoneman Douglas High School – including Pollack’s 17-year-old daughter, Meadow.
“Should have been one school shooting and we should have fixed it. And I’m pissed. Because my daughter I’m not going to see again. She’s not here. She’s not here. She’s in North Lauderdale at … King David Cemetery. That is where I go to see my kid now,” Pollack told those gathered in the State Dining Room, including families and students who experienced the tragic shooting.
Following the murders at the hands of a 19-year-old suspect, a Palm Beach Post reporter shared photos of Pollack as he first searched for his daughter in the aftermath and then when he learned she was a victim.

Soulless liberals, unsurprisingly, focused not on providing sympathy and support but attacked the grieving father for wearing a Trump shirt.
At Wednesday’s listening session with the president, Pollack made it clear he was angry about the senseless loss of life at the school, but also that he believed Trump’s administration could make positive inroads into preventing future tragedies.
“How many schools, how many children have to get shot? It stops here with this administration and me. I’m not going to sleep until it is fixed,” Pollack said. “And Mr. President, we’re going to fix it. Because I’m going to fix it. I’m not going to rest.”

As liberals in the mainstream media and the halls of government politicized the tragedy, demanding gun control laws while shamelessly fanning the flames by using traumatized students to make the appeals, Pollack’s gut-wrenching words put the important issue on the table, calling on lawmakers and the nation to focus on what really matters.
“And if we all work together and come up with the right idea — school safety. It is not about gun laws. That is another fight, another battle. Let’s fix the schools and then you guys can battle it out whatever you want. But we need our children safe,” he said. “It’s enough. Let’s get together, work with the president and fix the schools. That’s it. No other discussions.”
The president announced that his administration would be looking at expanding background checks, banning “bump stocks” and potentially arming teachers in schools.

“I’m here because my daughter has no voice,” Pollack told those gathered at the White House, as his powerful words reverberated throughout the nation. “And we need come together as a country and work on what’s important. And that is protecting our children in the schools. That’s the only thing that matters right now. Everyone has to come together and not think about different laws. We need to come together as a country, not different parties, and figure out how we protect the schools. It is simple.”
It’s simple for those who have the ultimate goal of protecting children and not pushing an agenda.

“I’m never going to see my kid again,” Pollack said in his haunting conclusion. “Never, ever will I see my kid. I want it to sink in. It’s eternity. My beautiful daughter I’m never going to see again. And it’s simple. It’s not — we can fix it.”
