You guys! Actress Jennifer Lawrence is taking a year-long break from acting to “fix our democracy.” We can all breathe easier now.
The Oscar winner shared her vacation/activism plans while promoting her new spy movie, “Red Sparrow.”
“I’m going to take the next year off,” Lawrence told Entertainment Tonight. “I’m going to be working with this organization I’m a part of: Represent.Us. It’s just trying to get young people engaged politically on a local level.”
Like other Hollywood dilettantes, Lawrence only recently got interested in politics, coinciding with Donald Trump’s presidency. And like other leftists, Lawrence is now obsessed with Trump.
But she insists her vacay-activism isn’t partisan. “It’s just anti-corruption and stuff trying to pass state-by-state laws that can help prevent corruption, fix our democracy,” J-Law said.
If Lawrence wants to fight corruption, she should look closer to home and do something about the widespread sexual abuse and pedophilia in Hollywood by creeps like her pal Harvey Weinstein. Or Lawrence can help stem government corruption by not supporting corrupt politicians.
Lawrence has joined other actors in urging Democrats Chuck Schumer and Nancy Pelosi to enact legislation to protect illegal aliens, specifically, DACA beneficiaries.
Keep in mind that Schumer and Pelosi recently rejected President Trump’s generous offer to give a pathway to citizenship to 1.8 million DACA recipients and their families because they don’t want to finance Trump’s border wall or end chain migration.
Jennifer Lawrence also wants to “fix our democracy” by stealing acting jobs from real Native Americans, like when she offered to play Pocahontas.
Surprise! Trump endorses former foe Mitt Romney for senate
In December 2017, Lawrence said if she ever met President Trump (you know, the leader of the free world, whose help she’d need to “fix our democracy”), she’d throw a martini in his face. “I’ve got a pretty good speech, and it ends with a martini to the face!” she boasted.
