Sanders blisters WaPo hack with heat of a 1000 suns after he slams Trump for hospital visit with Parkland victims

Let no good deed go unpunished, at least as far as President Trump is concerned. That’s the mantra of partisan mainstream media ‘journalists’ who pillory the Republican president in ways that would be unimaginable under former President Obama.

The president and first lady visited the hospital that was caring for the Parkland shooting victims, and they met and took photos with the medical staff and law enforcement who responded to the horrific crime.

The president praised the medical professionals and law enforcement on Saturday:

“Our entire Nation, w/one heavy heart, continues to pray for the victims & their families in Parkland, FL. To teachers, law enforcement, first responders & medical professionals who responded so bravely in the face of danger: We THANK YOU for your courage!” the president wrote.

The president and first lady shared several Instagram photos of their visit:

The president also changed his Twitter background to show solidarity with Broward County law enforcement:

NBC’s Chuck Todd blasted this as an “odd photo”:

“Just an odd photo to have posed for and have taken and an even odder decision to make it THE background photo of a social media platform,” Todd wrote.

The Washington Post’s Josh Dawsey, not to be undone, attacked the president for acting less like a “comforter in chief” and more like a “congratulator in chief”:

White House press secretary Sarah Sanders wasn’t having it.

“Actually it’s not very nice, but it is very misleading. spent private time w/ victims of the shooting & their families. Out of respect for them he didn’t bring media into their hospital rooms but don’t let the truth get in the way of your anti-Trump narrative,” she said.

CNN’s Brian Stelter found a way to get in on the debate.

Then we get the truth.

It’s time for the mainstream media to stop reflexively attacking the president for everything under the sun. Let our law enforcement, medical professionals and first responders be honored, and let the victims of terrible crimes heal.
