Shots were reportedly fired Wednesday at the visitor’s gate outside the National Security Agency’s complex at Fort Meade in Maryland, according to multiple reports.
One person is in custody and at least one other person has been hospitalized after a shooting Wednesday morning. Aerial photos of the scene show a black SUV that appears to have crashed into security barriers. The vehicle appears to be riddled with bullets, and there seems to be blood on the ground.
Reuters reports indicated that three people were shot and wounded in the incident, but only one injury has been confirmed by the NSA.

“NSA Police and local law enforcement are addressing an incident that took place this morning at one of NSA’s secure vehicle entry gates. The situation is under control and there is no ongoing security or safety threat,” the NSA said in a statement.
President Donald Trump has been informed of the incident.
The latest incident follows one in 2015, in which two men dressed as women attempted to smash a stolen car into a security gate at the NSA complex at Fort Meade. Guards opened fire, killing one and injuring the other.
