Jim Acosta links together contradictory Andrew McCabe claims minutes apart

The announcement of FBI Director Andrew McCabe’s ouster threw the news media for a tailspin, in particular, CNN’s Jim Acosta.

In less than 40 minutes, Acosta contradicted himself with a pair of frantic tweets that told a very different story.

Acosta first reported that a “source” familiar with the McCabe matter said his departure was a “mutual” decision, and that McCabe was tired of being undermined at the bureau while Trump was not “happy with him.”

The chief White House Correspondent, who has a tumultuous relationship with the Trump administration, changed his tune with a second tweet minutes later.

Instead of correcting his first claim, Acosta began his conflicting tweet with “more…” and piggybacked his former claim to add that McCabe was being “pushed out.”

Amazingly, the CNN “journalist” was able to get away with this contradictory claim without a correction. But, there were more than a few who picked up on the fact that someone can’t willingly leave and be “pushed out” at the same time.
