People are freaking out over how ‘insanely easy’ it is to hack US voter machines (Just watch)

There’s finally a surefire way to get Democrats to care about voter fraud: Show them how easy it is to hack a U.S. voting machine.

And that’s exactly what a group of computer whizzes just did.

Harri Hursti, a Finnish computer programmer, is the organizer of the Defcon Voting Village. The group recently demonstrated how easy it is to hack a voting machine.

Def Con, a hacking conference that takes place in Las Vegas every year, has gleefully been hacking voting machines since 2004, Engadget reported. In fact, it’s part of their annual hacking demonstration.

“The problems with voting-machine security, and the industry’s unwillingness to acknowledge the problems discovered at Defcon, have ensured the voting machine hacking challenge has been coming back year after year,” Engadget noted. “In fact, the machines are so badly maintained, notoriously backdoored, and easily hacked that even Defcon hackers massively stress out in forums and chat spaces about their own local and federal voting process.”

The situation has drawn the ire of voting machine manufacturers, who have sent threatening letters to eBay to ban the sale of old voting machines to be used in hacking demonstrations at Def Con. But it’s too late.

“One e-cycling company had bought 1,300 voting machines, which it acquired when the ceiling of the warehouse in which they were being stored collapsed,” Hursti said. “We found the company had already sold 400 of the machines, in some cases back to counties for voting duties.”

Hursti said he was shocked how easy it is for anyone to buy an official voting machine to potentially use for illegal purposes. “You’d think you could only buy these if you had a government ID. But no, anyone can buy these,” Hursti said.

Now that liberals see with their own eyes that voter fraud is easy (just as President Trump and Republicans have repeatedly stated), leftists like broke, tax-evading actress Alyssa Milano are up in arms.

“WE NEED TO BE SCREAMING ABOUT THIS,” Milano tweeted. You’re darn right, Alyssa!

Despite this, Democrats remain staunchly opposed to voter ID laws, which could prevent voter fraud. In June 2017, a Virginia man was sentenced to 100 days in jail after pleading guilty to voter fraud by registering dead people as Democratic voters.

Andrew Spieles admitted that he had falsified 18 Virginia voter registration forms in August 2016. Spieles worked for Harrisonburg Votes, a Democratic Party-affiliated organization, when he committed his federal crimes.

Spieles was discovered after someone saw the name of a man he knew was dead on a voter registration form and called the police. While the incident sounds like a frat-boy prank, it is a federal crime that underscores the increasing concerns over voter fraud and the need for voter ID laws.

After all, you need an ID to get a driver’s license, buy alcohol, open a bank account, apply for food stamps, get on an airplane, enter college campus buildings, and pick up a prescription. But you don’t need one to vote?
