FBI texts expose discussions of a ‘secret society’ against Trump after win; Gowdy is on it, now

The investigation of politically motivated FBI officials is turning out to be the things spy novels are made of.

As details of what was going on behind the scenes in the Obama Administration during the contentious presidential race between Hillary Clinton and Donald Trump come to light, we’re learning there may have been an attempt to begin a “secret society.”

Rep. Trey Gowdy and Rep John Ratcliffe told Fox News’ Martha MacCallum that a new text message between two top FBI officials continue to show “manifest” anti-Trump bias in the upper echelon of the FBI and DOJ.

A text between FBI counterintelligence official Pete Strzok and his mistress FBI lawyer Lisa Page reveal what the two had planned the day after Trump’s 2016 election win.

“We learned today about information that after — in the immediate aftermath of [Trump’s] election that there may have been a secret society of folks within the Department of Justice and the FBI to include Page and Strzok that would be working against him,” Ratcliffe told Fox’s Martha MacCallum.

The revelation of a possible budding “secret society” comes after a text exchange between Strzok and Page that indicated then-Attorney General Loretta Lynch knew Clinton would be exonerated by the FBI of any wrongdoing regarding alleged use of a non-secure email server before then-FBI Director James Comey made the announcement.

Ratcliffe also brought up the “insurance policy” that was discussed by the two.

It is believed that Strzok was referring to the probe into alleged collusion by the Trump campaign and Russians when he described needing an “insurance policy” should Trump win the election.

And as we all know now, they never thought she’d lose.

Gowdy also weighed in on the possibility of a “secret society” and vowed to get to the bottom of it.

“I’m going to want to know what secret society are you talking about because you are supposed to be investigating objectively the person who just won the electoral college. I‘m going to want to know,” he said on Fox.

“What Johnny and I saw today, was text about not keeping texts,” Gowdy said.

Gowdy floated the idea of a second special counsel investigation to probe the developing revelations, including five months of “lost” internal intel messages between Strzok and Page.

The “secret society” text message Ratcliff and Gowdy were referring to was included in 384 pages of communications that the Justice Department provided to six congressional committees on Friday, the Daily Caller reported.

Word of the “secret society” spread like wildfire on Twitter and became a trending hashtag:

Currently, a conservative movement is underway to get Congress to release what is perceived to be a damning FISA memo regarding the Obama administration and Hillary Clinton’s efforts to possibly rig the 2016 election and undermine Donald Trump.

Congressman Adam Schiff has been hitting the news circuit to downplay the memo. In a recent interview, Schiff told CNN that the memo shouldn’t be released because it contains information the American people wouldn’t be able to grasp because it would be lacking context. He also blamed the trending “Release the Memo” hashtag that took over social media on Friday and into the weekend on Russian bots.

We’ll see if he blames Russian bots for the “secret society” trend.
