It seems that seven is the “perfect number” for “Fixer Upper” stars Chip and Joanna Gaines as the couple announced the family is expecting their fifth child.
“Gaines party of 7,” The HGTV star wrote to his Instagram followers on Tuesday. “(If you’re still confused.. WE ARE PREGNANT) @joannagaines.”
Showing off her baby bump in a gray sweatshirt, Joanna Gaines posed in a photo with her husband in a matching top – and an almost matching “bump” of his own.
The popular couple, who are proud parents of two sons and two daughters, recently announced to heartbroken fans that this season of their successful HGTV series would be their last.

“Time with our family is the most important thing to us…We are pretty headstrong and when we feel like it is the right decision for our relationship, for our family, for our business, it would take an act of congress to knock us off that position,” Gaines previously told E! News.
Gaines teased the pregnancy announcement in several tweets on Tuesday.

The Texas-based reality TV stars have launched several successful businesses over the years and have a tremendous fan base that has supported them amid many controversies that have come up against them, including an attack by the left in 2016 for their Christian beliefs.
Gaines was also sued by his former business partners who claimed, in a million-dollar lawsuit that he deceived them into selling their share of Magnolia Realty ahead of the HGTV series launch. Fans and those who appeared as prospective homeowners in past episodes of “Fixer Upper” rose to the couple’s defense last year when they were accused of misrepresenting a property by one couple.
With a magazine publication, cookbooks and a partnership with Target to add to their growing list of enterprises, the new addition will certainly add to the family’s busy life. But the new baby is surely a blessing to the couple and the news was welcomed by their many fans – with nearly one million likes on Instagram.
Congratulations to the Gaines family!
