Abedin, a former Clinton aide who worked in the State Department, is divorcing Weiner, whose laptop was taken by FBI authorities after he “sexted” a 15-year-old girl. Weiner was sentenced to 21 months in prison and began serving out the sentence in November.

The emails are are due to be released in full tomorrow. However, there are reportedly at least five classified emails in the batch.

The Daily Mail has identified eight emails containing “confidential” information; the third highest government classification indicates intelligence that “reasonably could be expected to cause damage to national security.”

Several of the emails dating back to 2010, 2011, and 2012 regard sensitive information about the Middle East, including Hamas, the Palestinian Authority, and Israel.

Extensive passages in the emails were white-redacted before their release.

One November 2010 email obtained by Fox News indicated an Abedin email forwarded to the “Anthony campaign.” As former FBI director James Comey said about Hillary Clinton’s “extremely careless” handling of emails, Abedin is believed to have forwarded emails to Weiner to have him print out at home.

Fox News reported on the nature of the classified email:

That 2010 email was a “callsheet” to Clinton about her upcoming call to Saudi Foreign Minister Prince Saud al-Faisal to warn about an imminent leak of U.S. diplomatic cables — so-called Cablegate — from WikiLeaks.

The rest of the document is redacted and marked classified as of August 2015.

The Friday news dump signifies another “victory” for Judicial Watch, whose president Tom Fitton reacted to the news:

The news follows upon another hit for the Abedin family, as her cousin was recently convicted of fraud and sentenced to prison. It’s open to reasonable speculation if Mrs. Abedin will soon follow suit.
