Top Obama advisor 'jokes' about death of GOP officials, and Steve Scalise has something to say about it

Trump derangement syndrome reached a fever pitch after tax reform was passed and famous Obama lackeys aren’t immune to the degenerative effects.

Senior Obama advisor Ben Rhodes found himself in the hot-seat Thursday after launching an extremely distasteful tweet at President Trump and Republican leadership.

A photo from Trump’s Instagram account was posted by another former Obama aide with the bitter caption: “I hope this is the photo they use on the front page of the Times on the day Trump is indicted.”

Not to be outdone, Rhodes viciously ramped up the rhetoric by adding his two cents.

“And alongside the obit for Ryan, McConnell, and Pence,” Rhodes wrote.

There would never be a scenario where a former Presidential advisor could “joke” about wishing for the death of his political foes. In our nation’s highly polarized climate it’s not only sick, it’s truly dangerous.

No one would know that better than Republican Senator Steve Scalise, who slapped Rhodes with a sobering reality check.

Scalise was critically injured last summer when a madman started firing rounds at unsuspecting Republican lawmakers during a practice baseball game in Virginia. After numerous surgeries the Louisiana Senator was fortunate to escape with his life and is still recovering while going back to his job in D.C.

After 12 hours, Rhodes’ tweet is still up and there appears to be no apology.
