Denver Broncos beat Indianapolis Colts on Thursday Night Football and Americans didn’t care in the slightest

The NFL has had an abysmal season in ratings and it has now hit rock bottom.

This week’s showing of “Thursday Night Football” drew a season low, 7.4/13 rating in metered markets while being broadcast on CBS, NBC and simulcast on the NFL Network, Deadline.com reported.

The Dec. 14 game, in which the Denver Broncos bested the Indianapolis Colts 25 – 13, suffered a 27 percent drop in viewership from the Dec. 7 contest between the Atlanta Falcons and New Orleans Saints, and a 26 percent decrease from the Dec. 15 game last season, according to Deadline.

More from Deadline :

To give one more bit of context, last night’s game slid 12% in metered market ratings from the previous TNF season low of October 26, the last TNF on CBS this year. That game, which saw the Baltimore Ravens demolish the Miami Dolphins 40-0, eventual pulled in a 3.4/14 among 18-49s and 11.36 million viewers — which might be an indication of what to expect out of last night’s game.

The Broncos-Colts game peaked with a 8.0/14 in the 9:30-10 PM ET slot. Or to put it another way, that’s down a hard 30% from the metered market peak of last week’s TNF.

The continued ratings decline seems to be an indication that fans have grown weary of the NFL players’ protest routine.

NFL ratings have been hit hard all season with networks suffering what was tantamount to a $500 million loss a few weeks ago.

Three players even had the audacity to take a knee on Veteran’s Day.

The league recently reached an agreement to give tens of millions of dollars to leftist groups backed by George Soros, in a desperate attempt to stop the ratings bleeding.
