In what’s becoming a common occurrence in Barack Obama’s post-racial America, a U.S. sailor who claimed racial slurs were scrawled on his rack aboard an aircraft carrier staged the incident himself.
Marquie Little, an African-American seaman, posted photos to Facebook last month under the alias “Wally Allen” showing his rack on the USS George H.W. Bush covered in trash and racial slurs, the Navy Times reported.
“I proudly serve the Navy and this is what I’m receiving in return,” Little wrote in the post that was shared more than 20,000 times.

But the Navy said Friday that the sailor staged the incident himself, according to the Navy Times.
Naval Criminal Investigative Service conducted “a thorough investigation” and found inconsistencies in Little’s account, according to Naval Air Force Atlantic’s Cmdr. Dave Hecht.
“A NCIS-supported command investigation following claims of racially-motivated vandalism aboard the (carrier) has determined that the alleged victim staged the incident himself,” Hecht told the Navy Times in an email.
“The United States Navy does not tolerate racial discrimination of any form and the well-being of our Sailors is our top priority,” he added.
Little, 27, is sticking to his story.
He denied staging the racist vandalism in a text message to The Times, insisting the NCIS did not conduct a proper investigation — Little offered nothing in support of the claim.
“And now I’m to be here looking like a bad guy for attention,” he said. “I have nothing to gain from doing such an incident but I have everything to lose.”
The incident comes on the heels of a similar episode recently at the Air Force Academy preparatory school, where racial slurs were found on the dorm message boards of five black cadet candidates. The Times noted one of the five cadets admitted to writing the slurs.
