Leave him alone already, he says.

No fall from grace could have been swifter than that of longtime NBC darling Matt Lauer.
With embarrassing old clips, incriminating videos and numerous allegations of everything from sexual harassment to rape being waged against him, Lauer is reportedly ready to sail off into the sunset on a luxury golf course.
“Matt has no intention in returning to public life . . . He plans to disappear and play golf,” a source told the New York Post.
“He wants to be a regular Joe. To play golf and stay in the Hamptons. He has no intention of mounting a Billy Bush-style comeback campaign. He is going to stick to his one statement and not address the allegations further.”
The former Today host made a statement last week where he conceded “some” of the accusations against him were true, leaving him feeling “embarrassed and ashamed.”

Rumors have been swirling about Lauer’s marriage with former model Annette Roque. Roque has been spotted around Sag Harbor, where the couple reside, without her wedding ring on, but numerous sources say the couple is still living together.
“She’s back in the Hamptons to take care of the kids,” another source told the Post. “This has taken a huge toll. She’s painfully thin. People at her kids’ school are concerned.”
Justice Gorsuch drops the ultimate wedding cake truth bomb
While Lauer isn’t planning a TV comeback, it appears he hopes his marriage survives as he’s been spotted still wearing his wedding ring, according to the Post.
Lauer reportedly asked for whopping settlement from NBC after he was fired from the network. It’s likely Lauer won’t be getting much comped anymore at the swanky golf clubs.
