Sen. Flake ignites firestorm by posting check with $100 Doug Jones donation with fiery 3-word message

Senator Jeff Flake (R-AZ) has been a thorn in the side of Republicans, and specifically, Donald Trump for some time now. Whether that’s a good thing or a bad thing depends on one’s point-of-view.

On Tuesday, however, Flake crossed over into full #Resistance mode with a tweet that contained a snapshot of a $100 donation to Roy Moore opponent Doug Jones.

The tweet contained the fiery message: “Country over party.”

The Alabama special Senate election has been a hot issue ever since accusers came forward in the Washington Post to allege Roy Moore dated them when they were underage.

One woman claimed that she was 14 years old when she and Moore engaged in sexual behavior in 1979. The other three accusers stated that they dated Moore while they were between the ages of 16 and 18 years old and it was consensual.

President Donald Trump recently backed Roy Moore, who leads in the race according to most polling.

This is a breaking news story.
