LaVar Ball is throwing more than shade at President Trump these days.
Ball claimed to TMZ that he sent the president a pair of brand new Z02 shoes in the mail for Christmas. The shoes are from his son’s Big Baller Brand and dad Lavar no doubt thinks the stunt might be good for business. Even if it’s all talk.
“I sent Trump his shoes!” Ball told TMZ in between texting. “I sent him through the postal, he should have ‘em! Unless they took ’em!”
Ball drew the ire of Trump for his shockingly ungrateful response to the president playing a key role in getting his son, LiAngelo Ball, released from a China jail.
LiAngelo had been arrested and jailed for shoplifting, but the timing couldn’t have been better for the three young UCLA basketball stars who were caught up in the scandal.
As President Trump ended his successful trip to China, he tweeted that he had spoken with Chinese President Xi Jinping about the boys’ incarceration. Almost immediately news broke that the lucky young men were released and on their way home.
Trump blasted Ball’s ungratefulness and crowned him with one of his famous nicknames.
It looks like the back-and-forth continues, but at least it seems, the jabs are on the lighter side.
