Jake Tapper’s CNN producer fired for ‘inappropriate’ behavior to female colleagues

Oh, how the mighty virtue signallers have fallen.

CNN fired Teddy Davis, a senior producer on Jake Tapper’s show “State of the Union” over “inappropriate behavior” toward his female co-workers.

A CNN insider told the Hollywood Reporter there were “no reports of physical or sexual assault,” but there were multiple complaints that Davis had made his female colleagues “uncomfortable.”

Three women had complained about Davis, according to Washington Post reporter Paul Farhi.

In a tweet, Tapper praised CNN for acting “swiftly and appropriately.” He added: “Workplaces need to be safe and I am fully supportive of CNN’s action.”

In a statement, CNN said it had conducted an investigation into the accusations against Davis before firing him. Davis previously worked at ABC News as deputy director of political coverage.

“The behavior attributed to Mr. Davis does not align with the standards and values of CNN, and Mr. Davis is no longer with the company,” the network said.

The firing came just hours after NBC fired Matt Lauer amid accusations he had sexually harassed, assaulted and sexted numerous female colleagues over the years.

A tsunami of sexual harassment allegations have roiled the media, Hollywood, and Capitol Hill in recent months as more women come forward with seedy stories of abuse.

In April 2017, Tapper gloated after Bill O’Reilly was fired by Fox News. “Oh, how the sleazy have fallen,” he crowed.

Tapper probably knows a lot about sleazy behavior. After all, he once bragged that he dated Monica Lewinsky.
