Americans cheer as official WH Christmas card is unveiled and it’s definitely NOT like the Obama’s

Make no mistake about it… Donald Trump is President and Christmas is back!

Not that Christmas ever really went away, but it did temporarily disappear from the official White House “holiday” cards when Barack Obama ruled the roost. Thankfully those days are gone, and the current first family made a simple, but bold statement by wishing “Merry Christmas” in their card for the season.

“Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year” read the 2017 card signed by Donald, Melania and their son, Barron Trump.

Trump has long rejected the politically correct trend of bucking the friendly “Merry Christmas” with the generic “Happy Holidays.”  After the 2016 election, but before taking office, Trump vowed to a Michigan crowd, “We’re going to start saying “Merry Christmas again!”

More recently, President Trump repeated his pledge at last October’s Voter Values Summit saying: “They don’t use the word ‘Christmas” because it’s not politically correct.

“We’re going to start saying “Merry Christmas again.”

Another promise kept.

But the Trumps didn’t break rank with the Obama’s on one important detail, and included their 11-year-old son Barron, much the same way the Obama’s included their daughters Sasha and Malia.

While the Trump’s card didn’t include a family photo, the young Trump made an appearance in an animated version of the white House Christmas booklet that is given out to tourists who visit during the holiday season.

Barron along with his mom, Melania, helped guide a Christmas tour last week as the White House tree arrived and festivities got under way. The 2017 program features an animated Barron guiding the tree-pulling carriage and is shown in various Christmas scenes throughout the White House, like the ones shown below:

Make no doubt about it, Christmas is in full gear at the White House this year, and First Lady Melania dazzled as she toured the decorated premises with the aptly named “Time-honored Traditions” Christmas theme.

The children visiting the White House were clearly taken aback by Melania’s stunning looks and grace, and rushed to hug. “She looks like an angel!” one child said, and it’s easy to see why.
