Actress Mayim Bialik does not like Thanksgiving.
The “Big Bang Theory” star not only hates that some Americans celebrate “excessive” eating on the annual holiday but, as a vegan is opposed to killing turkeys.
Bialik unpacked her “4 Reasons I Don’t Like Thanksgiving,” in a video rant posted on YouTube last week.
The 41-year-old actress finds nothing “appealing” in a holiday where people typically eat so much they feel they will “explode” and blasted the gluttony of Americans. She also made it clear she does not appreciate any how-to tips for using leftovers.
Her second reason for hating Thanksgiving was aimed at defending the main dish, turkeys.
“I don’t like the tradition of killing a bird that in most cases has been genetically modified so that it’s so big that it can’t even stand up and then you lay its carcass on a tray and you carve it up and then you eat it,” she said.
“I don’t like that tradition. I don’t want that one. And I know, you think, ‘you vegans ruin everything.’ Well, you know what?” she went on. “I think your tradition of killing an animal and laying its carcass and eating the skin and the flesh of it — I think its gross. That ruins it too.”
Bialik also took issue with Thanksgiving’s similarities to the Jewish holiday Sukkot, a fact that may not be coincidental.
Of course, the actress felt the need to deliver her version of a history lesson to the over 300,000 subscribers on her YouTube channel as she further slammed the holiday as a celebration of genocide, portraying the colonists as evil “invaders” who “desecrated” the culture and lives of Native Americans.
“History is written by the winners. I grew up coloring pictures of pilgrims and indigenous people — we called them Indians when I was a child — having this beautiful Thanksgiving together,” Bialik said. ”
The truth is, European invaders came to this land, took it from the indigenous people, raped, pillaged, gave them all sorts of diseases, called it their own, and desecrated a culture,” she continued. “It is one of the grossest examples of genocide in recent history and much as I don’t want to think about that, it’s really hard for me not to think about that when I think about Thanksgiving.
Ben Shapiro’s The Daily Wire blasted Bialik’s “ridiculous” commentary.
“This ridiculous talking point that Thanksgiving celebrates genocide has become common parlance among leftists and the brainwashed public,” the Wire’s Paul Bois wrote, adding a link to a counter-point video by Prager U called “What’s The Truth About The First Thanksgiving?”
Meanwhile, Twitter users slammed Bialik’s video, and then her strangely hypocritical “Happy Thanksgiving” tweet on Thursday.
Hope you all have a Happy Thanksgiving day today with friends, family, or just enjoying the quiet downtime! Who else is watching the #MacysThanksgivingParade?! pic.twitter.com/5LR2gb1cvg

Happy Thanksgiving by the lady who just said she hates thanksgiving.
What’s up with these flip-flop privilege Hollywood ladies. They have a platform to just say one thing and do another, I.e. Just like Lena Dunham. ? pic.twitter.com/Q3hP9QmBh3— Tina C. Lema (@hybrid_tinacris) November 24, 2017
Thought you hated this holiday because it was all about ‘oppressive genocidal colonialism’? I knew you were psycho, but I didn’t know it was that severe of a case. Adding BBT to the list of things now ruined for me by actors who preach too much. Good job. #LibsAreCancer

With Thanksgiving coming up, I bet you’re wondering how this scrooge feels about it. Hint: it involves a brief history lesson, a digression about genetically modified turkey, & our cultural love for eating so much we make ourselves sick LOL. Check it out https://t.co/sEbwurNDwx

When I think of Thanksgiving, I think of a big family dinner, turkey, and pumpkin pie. But then again, I’m a normal person.

What a miserable person you must be. Hint Thanksgiving isn’t about you and your feelings. The world doesn’t revolve around you.

If you really feel this way about our Country WHY ARE YOU HERE. You have money to leave. Find what Country you and your family came from under and go back then everybody including yourself is happy…

Don’t wanna turkey? Don’t eat one! Don’t wanna be thankful for abundance of the harvest season? Don’t celebrate…anything! But don’t gripe about all the people who want to celebrate with their families and stuff their faces with turkey and cornbread stuffing.

Who cares what you think. Sick of the liberal elite telling us deplorables how bad our traditions are. Eat your carrot and shut up
