A Edna, Texas coffin designer is offering free coffins to those who lost their lives in Sunday’s shooting at First Baptist Church.

Trey Ganem, the owner of a casket design company, decided to try to help those affected by the tragedy heal in the form of free coffins for the church massacre victims, CNN reported Monday.
“Immediately my heart opened up and I was like ‘yes, we can do this’. It’s a small town. People that felt like they were safe ended up in this tragedy,” Ganem told CNN. “What we want to do is start the healing process here. I want to make sure that we celebrate the lives of the people who were there.”

Devin Patrick Kelley, a former Air Force member, shot up a church, killing 26 people and wounding many others. The victims ranged from the ages of 18 months old to 77 years old. Authorities believe that the motive stems from a domestic dispute, as Kelley’s mother-in-law attended the church as well.

Ganem’s coffins, which usually feature custom designs, usually run for about $3,500. So far, his company has gotten 15 inquires for custom coffins. Ganem plans to do a special design for the 1-year-old who died in the mass shooting by decorating her coffin with princesses and Barbies.
