Chelsea Handler just made stunning announcement that’s filling Trump supporters with glee

Chelsea Handler is the gift that keeps on giving.

The “comedian” is  ending her Netflix talk show, “Chelsea,” after two seasons that were less-than-stellar. But the show’s rocky performance is not behind her decision. She announced she is walking away… in order to become more politically active.

“Like so many across the country, the past presidential election and the countless events that have unfolded since have galvanized me. From the national level down to the grassroots, it’s clear our decisions at the ballot box next year will mark a defining moment for our nation,” the President Trump-hating liberal wrote.

“For these reasons, I’ve decided not to return for another season of Chelsea, and instead devote as much time as I can to becoming a more knowledgeable and engaged citizen and to focus on projects that have significance to me,” Handler continued.  “My goal is to be better informed, raise my voice, and participate in a more meaningful way.”

Handler’s show debuted in 2016 with three episodes per week but returned as a one-hour a week program in its second season which saw the 42 year-old travel and talk to guests. And, oh yes, take cheap shots at Trump every chance she got. The Hollywood Reporter indicated that Netflix had cancelled the talk show.

The talk show host’s unfunny efforts to attack the president have not been limited to the Netflix series, but have seen her embarrass herself regularly on social media. From sporting an anti-Trump T-shirt she declared she wore when traveling, to calling for generals in the United States military to remove the president from office by force, Handler has proven that the bigger her platform, the more epic her fails.

“I want to travel the country and visit areas and people I don’t know enough about, speak at colleges and listen to students, and gain a better understanding of our political divide,” she announced.

A “better understanding of our political divide” from the woman who wondered if the US could trade Trump for North Korean dictator Kim Jong Un.

While Handler is ending her show’s run, she is not ending her Netflix relationship.

“I’m excited to share that I will continue my partnership with Netflix, working together on a documentary where I’ll engage with people I don’t talk with enough – people of different ethnicities, religions and political philosophies,” she shared.
