World Facebook outage may have caused mass ‘panic’ but the hilarity on Twitter was so worth it

As nations around the globe faced Facebook outages, Nancy Pelosi found the perfect opportunity to be relevant.

And failed.

Reports of Facebook being down Wednesday came from not only the U.S. but in Europe, Canada, India, and even Russia, according to The Daily Caller which reported that a representative for the social media company, which also owns Instagram, could not yet highlight the source of the problem.

Over in Washington, D.C., House Minority Leader Nancy Pelosi thought she would take advantage of the situation to tout access to high-speed internet for all Americans.

This was not “fake news.”

Meanwhile, over at Twitter, news of the Facebook outages was met with Twitter users’ own special sense of humor.
