A mom was locked up Tuesday after pulling a gun on a barber who was taking too long cutting her son’s hair in Cleveland, Ohio.
Andrea Smith, 31, will spend six months in jail after pulling a gun on a barber on April 14, despite not having a license to carry a gun, reported the Associated Press. Smith pleaded guilty to carrying a concealed weapon, menacing and endangering children, reported Fox8.
Smith claimed that the barber first insulted her parenting style after her son had trouble sitting still and pulled a gun first, prompting her retaliation, reported Cleveland.com.
“He came up to me four times about my son moving in the chair,” said Smith, adding, “That’s what it was. I’m not that type of person. I did not just go up to him and point a gun at him and say ‘you’re taking too long.’”
The video footage proved contrary.
“This is all on videotape,” said Judge Brendan Sheehan. “There’s no evidence” that the barber pulled the gun.
“I got two clips. I’ll pop you,” added Smith on tape.
Following the incident, another employee managed to calm down Smith and the barber then finished the haircut.
