A Democrat mayor in Florida spouting off about gun control provided a list of “war zones” that had an interesting common denominator.
Tallahassee mayor Andrew Gillum tweeted a list of places that are no longer safe and peaceful due to “inaction” on gun control legislation.
Places that have been made into war zones due to our inaction:
– Movie theatres
– Schools
– Concerts
– Shopping malls
– Post offices— Andrew Gillum (@AndrewGillum) October 4, 2017
Noticeably absent from the list was Chicago, or any other Democrat-run city, for that matter.
: You forgot Chicago, Baltimore, Detroit, South-Central Los Angeles, et al. But facts are hard, eh Mayor?

Also Miami,Chicago, Baltimore,New York city,Los Angeles,Houston,
Philadelphia,Phoenix, wonder what they have in common?— PC ANTI WARRIOR (@PC_ANTI_WARRIOR) October 5, 2017
The Democratic gubernatorial candidate, who has served as mayor of the Sunshine State capitol since 2014, apparently missed the glaringly obvious link between the places he listed.
That’s impossible.
Those are gun-free zones. https://t.co/QlHFTLkuXn

You do realize guns aren’t allowed in any of those places right

But social media users did not.

Have you ever been to an actual war zone?

Sadly, Gillum did not expound on his solution for combating “war zones” that are, in fact, already gun-free.
He was summarily roasted on Twitter.

Interesting, all of those are gun free zones. Seems criminals do not care about laws. Go figure. https://t.co/cfDKncej7Z

Yep, Mayor would further endanger safety by creating more restrictions on law abiding citizens (the bad guys ignored the Gun Free Zone sign)
— Sal Nuzzo (@salnuzzo) October 4, 2017
If only those were located in gun free zones. Oh, wait….
— FedUpAmerican (@ralstondad) October 4, 2017
What law, not currently in effect, would have stopped any of those shootings? Be specific. https://t.co/C3BgBjqElj
— Heather (@hboulware) October 4, 2017
Yeah, all gun-free zones. That way the shooter has several minutes of uninterrupted shooting before the authorities arrive Duh
— Mary (@MarretyMary) October 4, 2017
Looks like those places were turned into war zones by your gun-free zone *actions*, not inaction.
— John Anderson (@johnandersonii) October 5, 2017
Make them all gun free zones!
Oh, we already have?
Awesome, the problem is 100% solved. No criminal would break a LAW to murder someone.
— Bert Difig (@BertDifig1) October 4, 2017
What are 5 places guns are not allowed LEGALLY for the win Alex
— BoMae Alcott (@_GMAFB) October 4, 2017
many of these places are gun free zones. How did they become war zones if they were gun free zones?
