Pelosi makes unhinged comparison of Dreamers to WWII interned Japanese American CITIZENS

Just when you thought Nancy Pelosi couldn’t be more unhinged.

The House Minority Leader called the illegal alien “Dreamers” patriots, and even seemed to suggest that President Trump would be  “coming for the ‘dreamers’” the same way the U.S. government interned Japanese American citizens in camps during World War II.

“It’s an honor to be here with the Dreamers, the Dreamers who are perpetuating, advancing the American dream with their courage and their optimism and their inspiration, they make America more American,” she said to supporters and reporters in front of the Capitol Tuesday.

The California Democrat met with the Congressional Asian Pacific American Caucus and praised the recipients of the Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals program, who were brought illegally to the U.S. as children. But she warned that those “Dreamers” may face an ominous future under Republicans.

“A week and a half ago, I was in Chicago, and I saw this art exhibit that I was invited to see. It’s called ‘And then they came for me,’ and it’s about the internment of the Japanese-American patriots in our country who were interned into camps during World War II while their family members were fighting for freedom for America and for the world in World War II,” Pelosi said.

“And they came for me,and now they’re coming for the Dreamers,” she said.

“This is something—we owe these Dreamers for their patriotism, their courage, their optimism to come forward, but it’s about America too,” she went on. “The fight is for who we are as a country too. They are the manifestation of that fight right now. But we cannot let them come for them.”

She referred to President Trump’s decision to end DACA while allowing Congress six months to pass a form of DREAM Act legislation thereby giving legal status to those immigrants who came here illegally as children.

“So while the president thinks that giving six months time for Congress to act, we want to do that sooner. We want to do it within six weeks and hopefully we can by supporting the Dream Act that is in the House and the Senate,” Pelosi said.

Twitter users reminded Pelosi what a U.S. citizen actually is and called her out for her outrageous comparison.
