Former baseball star Lenny Dykstra triggered anti-Trump feminist Lena Dunham so much that she blocked him on Twitter.
The wacky exchange started innocently (?) enough after the actress tweeted that she was “horny for baseball players” on Thursday evening.
Dunham made the comment after her boyfriend, musician Jack Antonoff, threw out the first pitch at a New York Mets baseball game.
Dykstra, a center fielder for the Mets from 1985 to 1989, responded by jokingly tweeting: “DM me.”
DM me.

Dunham seemed more curious than offended, presumably because she’s not used to having athletes hit on her (even when they’re toothless, past their prime, and retired). At that point, the Twitter chat devolved into a bizarre flirtatious exchange that confused, amused, and disgusted fans.
Gag! George Clooney wants ‘failed f—ing screenwriter’ Steve Bannon to lick his WHAT?
“You guys I’m being simultaneously trolled and seduced by @LennyDykstra this day has gotten really f–king weird,” Dunham, 31, tweeted.
Dykstra, 54, responded: “You know deep down you want to take a ride on the space shuttle.”
Lena then tweeted: “Excited about my new stalker @LennyDykstra! Unfortunately he seems to have underestimated my powers. Nite baseball fans, what a wild ride.”
Lenny replied: “If you can’t get to sleep after all this excitement, I recommend a cold shower.”
Twitter users collectively gagged at the oddball exchange (I got nauseous just writing this).

The next day, Dunham announced that she had blocked Dykstra on Twitter because things just got too weird. Even for her.
Guess what? I blocked @lennydykstra cuz I no longer felt it amusing to "play ball."

Dykstra responded by posting a jokey “emergency statement on feminism” video, where he said Lena (whose name he repeatedly mispronounced) had “reached out to me for help.”
As Eric Bolling mourns son’s tragic death, depraved liberals gleefully celebrate possible suicide

Dykstra explained: “I don’t think it’s a coincidence that she has a feminist newsletter called ‘Lenny.’ If that is not evidence of a cry for help directed at me, I don’t know what is. Lena, honey, I’m here to rescue you and your female fans.”
Dykstra then trolled Dunham and all liberals by making a series of over-the-top sexist statements intentionally designed to trigger them, including:
- “America is suffering deeply because women are confused about their role in society.”
- “Women are happier when they are married with kids and helping their husbands to succeed.”
- “Lose 20 pounds. You’ll look better and feel better, and the chances that your husband will remain attracted to you will definitely increase.”
Predictably, liberals went totally bonkers. Meanwhile, Dykstra is probably sitting at home having a huge laugh over this. He hasn’t gotten this much attention since his Mets won the World Series in 1986.
