Tucker Carlson slammed the media for obsessing over Melania Trump’s high heels instead of spotlighting the suffering of tens of thousands of people during Hurricane Harvey.
“With so much going on in Houston and around the world, you’d think the press would have more to worry about than what the First Lady wears, but nooooo,” the Fox News anchor said in disbelief.
Carlson continued: “After Melania Trump was spotted wearing high heels boarding Air Force One in a pair of high heels, many outlets and pundits decided those heels were proof that the First Lady is a modern-day Marie Antoinette …Â That sounds like a ‘war on women’ to me.”
Radio host Tammy Bruce agreed, saying shrill leftist hypocrites are trashing the gorgeous former model because they’re jealous shrews.
“There’s clearly a lot of sexism going on there, but you know what it’s based on: They’re harpies,” Bruce said. “They’re jealous and they’re envious. Melania Trump is a woman who is always dressed appropriately based on the circumstance.”

Bruce pointed out that the first lady exited the White House in stilettos en route to board Air Force One, where a change of clothes (and shoes) had already been prepared. “The Trump haters wanna drag people down,” Tammy said. “People can see right through this.”
Carlson further spotlighted the media’s hypocrisy and “situational feminism” by recalling that their hero, Hillary Clinton, “taught us that an attack on one [woman] is an attack on all.” Tucker paraphrased Hillary:Â “When you criticize one woman, you’re criticizing all women.”
Tammy Bruce responded: “They’re clearly being hypocritical. They say that when it works for them.”
Amid the inane liberal media uproar, many on Twitter pointed out that Melania had changed shoes on the plane. Duh. That’s what most women would do.
And here she is in Texas wearing shoes. This is such petty BS, give me a break. pic.twitter.com/RZzB2db3Jc

This isn’t the first time the media — which is 97% liberal — has obsessed over Melania’s appearance, even as they rant that the world is going to end because of President Trump.
In early August, Newsweek blasted the first lady and first daughter Ivanka Trump for wearing stilettos, claiming it’s a symbol of female oppression by the Trump administration.
Newsweek then lied by claiming Melania and Ivanka NEVER wear flat shoes in public because they’re oppressed Trumpian fembots. Never mind that there are countless photos of both ladies wearing flat shoes in public over the years.
Let’s count the ways Newsweek’s hit piece on Melania & Ivanka’s ‘sexist’ stilettos is utter garbage… https://t.co/vFGcZFK8bD pic.twitter.com/uUOswrkp6j

Naturally, the media said nothing about high heels being sexist when Michele Obama wore them for 8 years as first lady.
Where was this sexist diatribe for the last 8 years when Michelle Obama was wearing high heels? pic.twitter.com/oD1y0DoShg
