Mystery revealed on how ABC hides George Stephanopoulos’ ‘little-boyish mini legs’

The brouhaha that erupted over the size of President Trump’s hands was nothing as compared to this one — ABC’s George Stephanopoulos’ diminutive size overall — especially as evidenced by what’s been described as his his “little boyish mini-legs.”

It’s not at all apparent when he’s hosting ABC News’ “This Week” on Sundays — he’s sitting behind a closed desk. It’s when he’s co-hosting “Good Morning America” that the problem becomes apparent.

The front of the desk is open and he’s seated beside tall, leggy women, which makes him look gnome-like in comparison.

“He’s 5-foot-6 and is dwarfed by human trees Robin Roberts and Michael Strahan,” a network insider told Page Six. “ ‘GMA’ initially thought using an anchor desk with elevated chairs would help the problem. Still awkward, George’s little-boyish mini-legs were seen dangling.”

So a metal panel was added in front of the anchor desk about a month ago to solve the problem.

Before the set change, it was felt that it was too “visible and awkward” when Stephanopoulos rested his feet on his chair, making the height difference between him and his co-hosts even more pronounced.

For example, Robin Roberts is reportedly 5-foot-10 and Michael Strahan towers over him at 6-foot-5.

The set change — and the reason for it — became the inevitable butt of jokes on social media.

Sen. Marco Rubio claimed Trump’s hands were smaller than usual during a GOP presidential primary debate last year, and he implied that it meant his manhood was also small.

Stephanopoulos doesn’t suffer from that problem — at least according to wife, Ali Wentworth. “He’s 5-foot-7. But 6-foot-7 in bed!” she reportedly said.
