Senator Elizabeth Warren may be the only one to not have seen the irony in her battle call to protect voiceless babies.
The Massachusetts Democrat tweeted a video message decrying Republican efforts to cut Medicaid funding and replace ObamaCare, featuring a story of baby Peter who was born prematurely with lung disease.
Every Senator – no matter the party – should step up and fight for the millions of babies like Peter who can’t speak for themselves. pic.twitter.com/YiSc3GedAw
— Elizabeth Warren (@SenWarren) July 10, 2017
Chronicling the story of the baby’s birth and the family’s struggle to meet his health care needs, Warren presented her argument against the GOP’s “cruel health bill” and captioned her tweet with calling on all senators to “step up and fight for the millions of babies like Peter who can’t speak for themselves.”
Of course, Warren may not be remembering millions of other babies who can’t speak for themselves.
I #StandWithPP because millions of women in MA & across this country depend on Planned Parenthood for basic medical care. #PinkOut pic.twitter.com/eZA6NXb4oK

This dose of irony was not lost on the internet as Twitter users responded to Warren’s rallying cry.
Planned Parenthood could not be reached for comment. https://t.co/IiHNsSuCjl

The irony and lack of awareness here is staggering.

So you’re saying that babies should not be murdered by planned parenthood? That’s step in right direction!
— Rough-Soul (@juanaldama7) July 10, 2017
Are there milllions of babies with this ailment? What about the babies who are killed every year by PP? Senator, will you fight for them?
— Bolts27 (@27Bolts) July 10, 2017
Millions of babies who can’t speak for themselves are aborted every year @SenWarren, wish you would fight up for them too. #Prolife https://t.co/ZCA8mQmXv0

Liz refuses to apply this standard to the developing unborn. https://t.co/8CF3w7iC1M

Why not step up for the unborn
— John Carter (@johnnysez1) July 10, 2017
How about the unborn? Are you a social justice warrior for them too? They can’t speak for themselves either.
— mister G (@M1sterG1970) July 10, 2017
Senator Warren, wouldn’t “babies like Peter” include the 55 million murdered by abortion that you support?
— Jan Brenner (@JanBrenner) July 10, 2017
Laughable…..coming from an advocate of PP that kills kids and sells the body parts.
— NHBirddog (@nh1Birddog) July 10, 2017
No sense of irony. At. All. https://t.co/JTjrtnBNIL
