Outpouring of prayers for Steve Scalise as his condition deteriorates, readmitted to ICU

Physicians downgraded House Majority Whip Steve Scalise’s condition from “fair” to “serious” Wednesday, resulting in an avalanche of prayers for the Louisiana Republican and his family.

As a result, doctors at MedStar Washington Hospital Center re-admitted Scalise to the intensive care unit.

The congressman was one of five individuals shot by James T. Hodgkinson in Virginia on June 14 while practicing for an upcoming charity baseball game with Democratic lawmakers.
