Industry colleagues send love after Tucker Carlson is hospitalized for unexpected emergency

Fox News host Tucker Carlson missed his own show on Thursday due to a health emergency.

Carlson reportedly visited a doctor after not feeling well and suffering from a fever, Mediaite reported. He was advised to head to a local hospital where he learned what was ailing him was actually appendicitis.

A spokesperson for Fox News Channel confirmed that the 48-year-old host of “Tucker Carlson Tonight” had the health emergency.

“Tucker is now being treated for appendicitis. He is in good spirits and expects to back on the air soon,” the spokesperson said, confirming the news was true, unlike last month’s “fake news” hoax that claimed the anchor had died in a car accident.

Ed Henry, who was originally scheduled to report from the Congressional baseball game, ended up filling in as host for Carlson. The Fox News correspondent said he was pinch-hitting for Carlson.

Dana Perino, from Fox News’ “The Five” stepped in for Carlson on Friday’s show and got thanks from a colleague on Twitter.

CNN’s Jake Tapper joined many others on Twitter to send their get well wishes.

Of course, liberals are always looking for a way to be classy and tweeted their own, predictable remarks.

But the Fox News anchor had plenty of fans on Twitter who were happy to send well-wishes.

Here’s wishing Carlson a speedy recovery.
