Kellyanne’s perfect response to weekend report calling her a blabbermouth: ‘If I were a great leaker …’

White House senior counselor Kellyanne Conway denied rumors that she’d leaked information to the press.

“If I were a great leaker, I’d get much better press, don’t you think?” she said near the close of her interview on “Fox & Friends” Monday. “Part of why I don’t is because I won’t divulge confidential information.”

Conway was responding to a report that surfaced over the weekend claiming she’d divulged confidential information to the press at a White House function.

“Look, two things there, Marc Short is one of my best friends in the West Wing. He came to my wedding 16 years ago. He and Kristen are friends of ours, and our families are close. I don’t wonder what he does every day, I marvel at it,” she said.

“The other thing is I never divulge what the president told me. I never would. The president had said publicly that we’ll all find out. We have to wait and see if there are tapes. I repeated that and then converted to no comment.”

Conway also commented on former FBI Director James Comey’s revelation that he’d been ordered by then-Attorney General Loretta Lynch to downplay the agency’s investigation of Hillary Clinton’s email scandal.

“Taking something from an investigation [and] calling it a matter is no small thing, and it’s not a semantics difference,” she said.

She also praised Sen. Dianne Feinstein for wanting to fully investigate the issue and Lynch’s role into providing cover for Clinton.
