People mag interview reveals what Obama really thinks about Trump: He’s ‘nothing but a ‘bulls—-er’

Friends of Barack Obama revealed what the former president really thought of his successor following his Election Day win.

“He’s nothing but a bullsh***er,” Obama told two friends in November, according to People.

The former president was reportedly recalling the election night phone call with Trump who told Obama about his “respect” and “admiration” for him, something the 44th president apparently found hard to believe given Trump’s previous criticisms.

In the months since Trump moved into the White House, Obama’s opinion has not changed much, the friends told People.

Well,” one said, “it hasn’t gotten any better.”

“He’s deeply concerned with what he’s seen. But he’s also optimistic and heartened that citizens aren’t just watching it happen but engaging with neighbors and elected representatives at town halls,” a third source close to Obama reportedly told the publication.

“He’s very respectful of the appropriate role of a former president and that ex-presidents should not be looking over the shoulder of their successors and commenting on every decision,” David Axelrod, former Obama adviser said, pointing out how George W. Bush refrained from criticizing Obama.

“Obviously, this now is a unique set of circumstances, but my sense is that he’s going to try and respect that tradition while reserving the right to speak out in given moments when things rise to that level,” he added.

No doubt, Obama will find plenty of ways to “speak out” against Trump when he deems it necessary.

Accepting an award in Boston earlier this month, Obama called for lawmakers to show “courage” by standing against Trump’s efforts to repeal and replace Obamacare. At a global conference in Italy, he took a jab at the current administration for stepping on climate change progress he had made as president.

Meanwhile, former First Lady Michelle Obama had refrained from making public comments about Trump but came out swinging when it was reported that the president was planning to cut back her infamous national school lunch program.
