Who didn’t see this coming?
In a refreshing statement of self-empowerment and equality, Kara McCullough who was crowned Miss USA Sunday night shocked the politically-correct regressive world with an answer about whether or not covering healthcare is “a right.”
“I’m definitely going to say it’s a privilege,” McCullough, 25, said when asked if healthcare was a right or a privilege.
“As a government employee, I’m granted health care and I see firsthand that for one, to have health care, you need to have jobs.”
Unsurprisingly, McCullough’s conservative-leaning answers enraged liberals who believe the government should provide everything for everyone, always. The newly crowned McCullough faced fierce backlash, as BizPac Review reported.

Tuesday morning, McCulough got busy doing damage control in an interview with “Good Morning America.”
“Not at all,” she said after being asked if she was surprised by the backlash. “I believe that’s what America is based on, having opinions and views.”
Unfortunately, the beauty with brains queen who is employed by the U.S. Nuclear Regulatory Commission, didn’t end there.
“But I would like to just take this moment to truly just clarify, because I am a woman,” she told GMA host Michael Strahan. “I’m going to own what I said.
“I am privileged to have health care and I do believe that it should be a right and I hope and pray moving forward that healthcare is a right for all worldwide.”
McCullough’s interview took an even more depressing turn when she seemed almost guilty for having a job.
“I want people to see where I was coming from. Having a job, I have to look at health care like it is a privilege.”
In other words, McCullough “re-clarified” her statement in a possible attempt to appease intolerant social justice warriors by admitting she’s “privileged,” even though she has an impressive career underway, and no doubt worked hard to make it happen.
As for the hot topic of feminism… McCullough also touched on her statement given at the Miss USA pageant where she said she didn’t consider herself a “die-hard feminist.”
“For me where I work with the nuclear regulatory commission, equalism, no matter your gender you’re given the same accolades on your work so I believe the person does a good job, they should be, you know, credited for that in a sense.”
McCullough maintained that she’s a defender of women’s rights, and says she’s witnessed the impact women have had in her field.
The beauty queen plans to use her new high-profile platform to encourage young students to pursue education and careers in the science and technology fields.
“Moving forward I’m hoping to continue to visit schools, do science projects and symposiums with high school students and encourage them to look at careers in the science, technology, engineering and math fields.”

That’s a compliment by the way.
Conservatives and defenders of liberty were disappointed to say the least:
@MissUSA Do not back down from the orchestra of hate. You can change the direction of our youth as much as anyone today.

Perhaps most upset with the back tracking was conservative show host and Fox News contributor Dana Loesch who labeled the move “when courage fails.”
When courage fails. She’s trying to argue both sides because society is horrible. https://t.co/DqdSQ3uCfz
