Her three-year-old son was more attuned to his gender identity than his mother was.
Canadian columnist and feminist mother Leah McLaren expressed dismay that her son James wanted to do things that most boys his age desired — to be a boy and do the rough and tumble things boys typically like to do.
“The other day I was sitting in the park with James, 3, when I picked a dandelion and handed it to him as a present. ‘No way, Mummy,’ he said, pushing away my gift. ‘Flowers are pretty and I’m a boy,’” she wrote in “The Globe and Mail.”
“And I thought: That’s it. I’m signing him up for ballet.”

Leah McLaren: I want my son to respect women, I teach him to embrace ‘girlish’ (Liberalism is a mental disorder) https://t.co/mRZutgwv2z

After she claimed to be thankful to be the mother of boys, “who just muck about in their saggy track pants, smashing up toys and teaching each other to belch the alphabet,” she suddenly had second thoughts.
She claimed that there were some items her son rejected not because he genuinely disliked them, but “for reasons of obvious cultural conditioning.”
Here we go.
“James isn’t entirely sure who he is yet, but he definitely knows what he’s not, and that’s 1) a baby or 2) a girl,” McLaren wrote. “Lately, anything that falls into either of those two categories is verboten to him.”
But she continued that she believed James’ sense of masculinity is something that he’s learning from his older brother rather than naturally ingrained within him.
When his older brother complained about having to watch Frozen because it was “girlish,” James instantly struck it off his list of favourite movies and now refuses to play Elsa and Anna even when his best nursery school girlfriends insist.
There is something inherently sexist, even covertly misogynist, in the way we discourage boys away from pretty things while telling girls they can have it all.
And on that basis, she decided to introduce her son James to more feminine-oriented things.
“If I want my son to love and respect women, I am going to have to teach him to embrace – and ideally appreciate – ‘girlish’ things,” she concluded. “That’s why I’m weaving him a dandelion crown and signing him up for ballet. I’m going to turn the little alphabet belcher into a proud princess whether he likes it or not.”Folks on social media were understandably appalled.

This is Child Cruelty. Feminists have no hearts. Their hatred of men extends even to their three year old sons.

Bingo!
She wrote in another column that she noticed an adorable baby sitting in the corner of a room at a party. Before she knew it, she began to breastfeed the child, with no knowledge whatsoever of who the child belonged to.
The baby’s father walked into the room and “could not entirely conceal the fact that he was flummoxed to see me sitting there with my top half-unbuttoned holding his baby.”

There are people in the world who shouldn’t become parents — no matter how much they want to. McLaren perhaps belongs to that group.
