She set his prosecutorial juices in motion.
Rep. Trey Gowdy said that if they have to, they’ll subpoena former Obama National Security Advisor Susan Rice, but one way or another he’ll get to the bottom of her role in unmasking of Trump campaign officials.
The South Carolinas Republican and former federal prosecutor was commenting on Rice’s refusal to testify on these matters on her own volition after having been invited to do so.
“There are other ways to invite people other than via a letter,” Gowdy told Fox News host Bill Hemmer on “America’s Newsroom” Thursday. “There are things called subpoenas. You shouldn’t have to use them with a former national security advisor, but if you do, you do.”

Describing Rice as a “very important witness,” he observed that the choice of who testifies and who does not is out of her hands and his.
“Members of Congress don’t pick the witnesses, lawyers don’t pick witnesses,” he said. “Facts pick the witnesses.”
Hemmer also asked Gowdy about FBI Director James Comey’s testimony before Congress, and Hillary Clinton’s assertion that his re-opened investigation led to her November 8 defeat at the polls.
“I don’t think [Comey] told Secretary Clinton to have her own server. I don’t think he told her to give disingenuous answers to questions throughout the campaign. I don’t think he told Anthony Weiner to communicate via text with underage girls,” Gowdy reasoned.
“Secretary Clinton, at some point, ought to do a little self-reflection.”
Fat chance of that.
Folks on social media were looking forward to it like an ancient Roman would to a contest at the Coliseum between a Christian and a hungry lion.

@AmericaNewsroom @TGowdySC Rice needs to testify, not take the 5th. Dems have to be tired of covering up for Clinton’s.
