How will liberals answer this one?
In response to heinous acts committed by illegal aliens, immigration supporters often argue that immigrants commit fewer crimes proportionally than do native-born American citizens.
And at first blush, the argument would appear to have some merit. After all, immigrants — both legal and illegal — would want to steer clear of legal problems in order to avoid the possibility of deportation.

However, the Justice Department released a report Tuesday that totally destroys that argument to shreds.
The report was prepared in response to President Donald Trump’s January executive order calling for an overhaul of the U.S. immigration system to enhance public safety.
It indicated that nearly one out of every four federal inmates is foreign-born, and of those, more than half are subject to deportation orders.
Of the 188,658 inmates in the federal prison system, 45,493 are foreign-born, 3,939 of which are now U.S. citizens, leaving 41,554 who are still foreign nationals.
The agency reported that immigration orders have been issued for 54.2 percent of that number — about 22,541.
The report further indicated that:
Approximately 13,886 (33.4 percent) are aliens who are under ICE investigation for possible removal;
Approximately 5,101 (12.3 percent) are aliens still pending adjudication (in other words, ICE has charged these aliens as removal cases, but a final disposition has not yet been reached); and
Approximately 26 (0.1 percent) are aliens who have been granted relief on the basis of asylum claims.
“Illegal aliens who commit additional crimes in the United States are a threat to public safety and a burden on our criminal justice system,” Attorney General Jeff Sessions said in a prepared statement. “This is why we must secure our borders through a wall and effective law enforcement, and we must strengthen cooperation between federal, state and local governments as we strive to fulfill our sacred duty of protecting and serving the American people.”

On Tuesday, Journalist and illegal alien Jose Antonio Vargas argued to Fox News host Tucker Carlson that “immigrants in this country — undocumented immigrants specifically — commit less crime than native-born Americans.”
He must not have read the DOJ report before making that statement.
