To the constant entertainment of conservatives, it seems Democrats are bent on repeating their mistakes.
Dorothy McAuliffe, the wife of Virginia Gov. Terry McAuliffe, is “seriously considering” a Democratic run for Congress next year, according to The Washington Post.

Virginia’s first lady is testing the waters in the 10th Congressional District, contemplating a challenge to Rep. Barbara Comstock, the Republican incumbent.
“I really am very seriously considering it,” McAuliffe said, but did not indicate when she plans to make a decision.
The decision may already be made by some who are not pretty clear about electing another Clinton crony to office.

The Post reported:
If she opts to enter the race, experts say, the first lady would have high name recognition and a built-in fundraising network. The McAuliffes’ close friendship with Bill and Hillary Clinton would attract donors and advisers but could deter voters who want a fresh face in public office, they say.
If she moves forward with the decision to run in the 2018 race, McAuliffe would be vying against four other Democrats for the party’s nomination. Her husband, who has been in office since 2014, would be ending his term in 2018 as Virginia’s constitution prohibits him from serving a second consecutive term.
The 53-year-old first lady of Virginia served as a delegate to the Democratic National Convention in Philadelphia last summer. The couple have been long-time friends of the Clintons, with the governor serving as co-chairman of former President Bill Clinton’s 1996 re-election campaign, as well as being chairman of Hillary Clinton’s 2008 presidential campaign.

McAuliffe has reportedly reached out to Democratic state congressmen in order to get some feedback and input before making a final decision.
But for many, the feedback for more of anything connected to the Clinton name is a simple, “no thanks.”
