The Open Society Foundation, a radical leftist activist group run by billionaire George Soros, is being sued over taxpayer money it allegedly received from the U.S. government under former President Obama.
Conservative watchdog Judicial Watch filed a FOIA (Freedom of Information Act) lawsuit against the State Department and the U.S. Agency for International Development (USAID).
The lawsuit seeks records related to $4.8 million in taxpayer funds the Open Society Foundation of Macedonia allegedly received to destabilize Macedonia’s democratically elected, center-right government.

These activities are allegedly part of George Soros’ plot to make all governments liberal. Judicial Watch claims the Obama White House colluded with the Open Society Foundation to provide U.S. taxpayer dollars to topple a politically-conservative government:
The U.S. government has quietly spent millions of taxpayer dollars to destabilize the democratically elected, center-right government in Macedonia by colluding with left-wing billionaire philanthropist George Soros, records obtained by Judicial Watch show.
Barack Obama’s U.S. Ambassador to Macedonia, Jess L. Baily, has worked behind the scenes with Soros’ Open Society Foundation to funnel large sums of American dollars for the cause, constituting an interference of the U.S. Ambassador in domestic political affairs in violation of the Vienna Convention on Diplomatic Relations.
The suit was filed after both the State Department and USAID failed to respond to a previous FOIA request filed in February 2017, according to Judicial Watch.
Judicial Watch President Tom Fitton made it clear the group is ready to move, and even took a jab at the Trump administration for being too slow.
“The Obama administration seemed to bust taxpayer budgets in an effort to fund the Soros operation. The Trump State Department and USAID should get their act together and disclose the details of the Obama-Soros spigot,” Fitton said.
To be clear, Fitton is not taking aim at President Trump, who wasn’t even in office when all this money changed hands.
Last week, Judicial Watch filed an ethics complaint against Democratic Congressman Adam Schiff, whom it accused of disclosing classified information to the public.
George Soros, 86, reportedly finances the militant, anti-police Black Lives Matter movement and its violent riots across the country.
Soros has also poured hundreds of millions of dollars into anti-Trump and anti-American protests around the world.
