All eyes will be on FBI Director James Comey on Monday when he testifies before Congress about alleged Russian interference with the election.
The hearing will put Comey under the scrutiny of Democratic Senator Adam Schiff, a ranking member of the House Intelligence Committee, and the committee’s Republican chairman, Senator Devin Nunes.
Anti-Trumper Schiff is desperately hoping Comey will support his unsubstantiated accusations that President Trump‘s camp had colluded with the Russians to influence the 2016 presidential election. To be clear, even anti-Trumpers agree that the OUTCOME of the election was not influenced by the alleged interference because no voting machines were compromised.

Comey has been uncharacteristically quiet about the investigation, and it’s unclear how much he can disclose at his Congressional hearing given the classified nature of FBI probes.
While Schiff has repeatedly bleated that he believes there was collusion between the Russians and the Trump camp, Senator Nunes repeated what most lawmakers have stated: “[There is] no evidence of collusion,” Nunes told Fox News Sunday.
By the same token, Nunes shot down President Trump’s claims that former president Obama had wiretapped Trump Tower.
“Was there a physical wiretap of Trump Tower? No,” Nunes said. “There was no FISA warrant that I’m aware of to tap Trump Tower.”
But investigative journalist Sharyl Attkisson — who says Obama had spied on her when she was a reporter at CBS News — said intelligence sources told her the president can wiretap anyone he wants without a warrant.
The White House stands by President Trump’s claim and said forthcoming evidence will back him up.
Senator Nunes said he’s more concerned about the illegal press leaks by the White House and the intelligence community from Obama holdovers who want to undermine Trump.
“The one crime that we know that has been committed is the leaking of someone’s name through the FISA system,” Nunes said, referring to leaks regarding fired national security advisor Michael Flynn.
Senator Rand Paul is also alarmed by the intelligence community leaking information to the press because it endangers national security.
“It is very, very important that whoever released that go to jail,” Paul told ABC News. “Because you cannot have members of the intelligence community listening to the most private and highly classified information and then releasing that to the New York Times.”
