Open for business! School kids shriek with delight when President Trump surprises WH tour

Fifth-grade students got the thrill of a lifetime when their White House tour was interrupted by an impromptu visit from President Trump on Tuesday morning.

Public tours of the White House resumed March 7 after a brief pause during the presidential transition. President Trump waved and said hello to the stunned children, who couldn’t believe they were seeing him in person.

Trump got a rock star’s welcome from the 40 to 50 tour-goers, who can be heard screaming with excitement in the background.

Trump called over 10-year-old Jack Cornish, of Birmingham, Alabama, who hugged the president and posed for a photo with him. Cornish is a fifth-grader at Briarwood Christian School.

Fox Business Network also tweeted the scene, and Trump can be heard telling the kids: “Work hard, everybody. Work hard.”

President Trump’s warm greetings were a stark contrast to former President Obama, who in 2013 canceled White House tours, citing “staffing reductions” caused by the sequester. After mass public outcry, the tours were resumed seven months later on a limited basis.

Not to be left out, two-time failed presidential candidate Hillary Clinton loomed over President Trump in an eerie portrait as he waved to the excited kids.
