Leftists have again resorted to breaking the law to “protest” President Trump.
Activists climbed the Statue of Liberty on Tuesday afternoon to hang a 20-foot “Refugees Welcome” banner from the pedestal. Parks Service officials later removed the banner.
“Affixing a banner to the national monument is strictly prohibited, and an investigation is underway by the United States Park Police to identify suspects,” officials said in a statement.

A leftist activist who identified himself only as “David” said he was one of the people behind the banner.
“This was first conceived in response to what’s been called the ‘travel ban’ of the Trump administration, which I think flies in the face of the founding principles of the United States,” he told Fusion. “The Statue of Liberty is our best symbol of the role that immigrants have played and continue to play every day.”
Like most liberals, David fails to understand that Trump has nothing against taking refugees AFTER VETTING. The United States has long welcomed refugees, provided they pose no threat to national security.

Radicals like David think the United States should take in anyone who wants to come here, despite the heavy financial burden to taxpayers. Keep in mind that the U.S. national debt tops $20 trillion.
Liberals oppose Trump’s plans to vet refugees coming from countries that are known hotbeds of Islamic terrorism.
Leftists are obviously turning a blind eye to the exponential spike in rapes, violent crimes, arson and terrorist attacks in European countries that have taken in large numbers of unvetted refugees from Muslim-majority countries.
Like lemmings, libs on Twitter applauded the vandals who unlawfully hanged the “Refugees Welcome” banner on the Statue of Liberty.
